Description
Lagabière was born in November 2012. Brothers Sébastien and Francis Laganière opened the doors of their brewery in the heart of Old St. Jean, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Initially offering only one of their beers and a few beers, the inventory has grown rapidly, offering only locally brewed products. With a capacity of 20 beers in service, the offer is very diversified. Each recipe is original and brewed with extreme rigor. Today, after more than sixty original recipes created, Lagabière also offers a range of imported beers, quality alcohols and a homemade food menu, incorporating as much beer as possible.

Can from CCC. Not clear which version this is but it's 7% and the label matches. Murky orange juice like pour with a generous frothy cap that fades slowly and leaves tight lace. Nose is muted tropical fruit and citrus with melon, stone fruit and some grains.Light mango sweetness with a medium pineapple, citrus peel and grass bitterness. Mouth is medium+ and creamy with average carbonation and a juicy finish. 7/4/8/4/14

Hazy orange colour with thin lacy head. Aroma and flavour have base skunky, dank hop oils. Some malt sweetness and a sharp note from the passion fruit. Pithy bitterness too.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with yeast particles that sink to the bottom and a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Mild fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, orange, pineapple, apricot, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, cantaloupe, peach, pineapple, oats, earthy yeast and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Full body with a thick, creamy, smooth, sticky texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and enjoyable.

Lightly hazed, bright golden with a big frothy-creamy whitish head, very long lasting and very, very active carbonation of tiny bubbles. Yeasty aromas with some spicy malts, herbal hops and floral hints. A crisp-like mouthfeel with just a tad dryness in the finish. Flavours are a nice blend of maltiness, yeastiness and herbal notes. A pretty good German Pils that is refreshing.
