Description
Lagabière was born in November 2012. Brothers Sébastien and Francis Laganière opened the doors of their brewery in the heart of Old St. Jean, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Initially offering only one of their beers and a few beers, the inventory has grown rapidly, offering only locally brewed products. With a capacity of 20 beers in service, the offer is very diversified. Each recipe is original and brewed with extreme rigor. Today, after more than sixty original recipes created, Lagabière also offers a range of imported beers, quality alcohols and a homemade food menu, incorporating as much beer as possible.

Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich tropical fruits, citrus, bitter hops, flowers and malt. Nice fruity finish and full bodied.

Lightly golden-amber colour with a frothy white head, good stay and some small foamy lacing spots. Deep citrus aromas with oranges, lemon zest with a warming alcohol and hints of raisins. Mild raisins and softening vanilla, oats in the taste with the citrus, fruitiness blending, at first. The orange juice really comes out with time, fruity and sweet, making this one easier to drink.

O:6.95 V:3.1 G:6.5 C:4.0 G:12.5 T:33.05

(473ml can from Intermarché Rue St. Jean, Quebec City) Pours deep brown with a small dark brown head. Bought to cook with and it was fine for that, but basically a watery dry stout with burnt, rather ashy grain, some light caramelized sugars, dark bread, a bit of old watery low-quality coffee, a little acidic roast. Light body, low to moderate carbonation. Fine but no more.

750 ml. Thick gold. White head. Mango melon white wine ginger apple. Flavor same. Big acidity. Bracing but off dry which makes it odd. It's interesting. Brought this to a share and some people loved it and some didn't. 7 4 7 3 13

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Dry chocolate, some biscuit, light vanilla, not really picking up bourbon, fairly hidden abv. Decent, but not a standout, could use a bit more oomph.
