Bottle at Frederikshavn øl- og vinfestival 07. Sweet liquorice aroma. Almost black colour, very small head. OK roasted flavour with some spicy liquorice. Not too powerful, but OK. The aftertaste is a little fruity which I find a bit strange in this beer.

Bottle at Frederikshavn øl- og vinfestival 07. Weak aroma of sour cherry. Clear red colour, small pink/white head. The flavour has the same as aroma along with some almond/arsenic. Not very sweet. The aftertaste is sour from the cherries. Low to medium carbonation.

Draft. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty and dominated by notes of berries. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of berries and caramel, but also light dusty hoppy notes, leading to a bitter end. It has a nice powerful body. Very German in its expression.

Bottled (5.2%, thanks JensenTaster!). Dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is sour dark fruits with some grassy hoppy notes. Flavour is sour/acidic dark fruit. malts, and slight roast. Seems like an infection or something as for the acidicness.

Bottled, alc. 5.2 % (BB 06/2007)
Dark brown color, small tan head. Sour nose which is dominating, maybe some toasted malts too. Sour flavor (lemons), light toasty maltyness. A bit hoppy in the aftertaste. Way too sour, maybe infected as it is far from stylish Schwarzbier?

500ml bottle (bryg 11). Brown-yellow body under a rustic foamy head. Burnt dark malty smell. Lots of roastiness in taste related to grains, dark chocolate and coffee - and a brush of liquorice. Nice bitter ending (14.01.2007).

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with thick brown head. Fantastic christmas aroma of chocolate, fruits, anise, coriander and alcohol - some yeast as well. Taste adds malt notes to the aroma flavours. Finish is long and sweet. Lovely balanced and goes great to almost any food. Fantastic Christmas brew.
