Aus der Flasche im 2017-11 getrunken. Hier dominieren hochprozentige Schokoladenaromen dieses Stout. Die Kraft der Schokolade ist hier aber schon wieder grenzwertig, da sich eine adstringierend Bitterkeit des Kakao bemerkbar machen. Am Ende ist dieses Bier immer noch ein richtig tolles. Skål! 9/4/7/4/15 Aus der Flasche im 2020-02 getrunken. Nach über 2 Jahren habe ich diese Stout ein zweites Mal im Glas und auch heute ist das Schokoladenaroma sehr präsent. Aber auch eine Espressonote kommt durch. Überraschend ist die leichte Fruchtnote von Erdbeeren im Hintergrund. Leider ist am Gaumen diese Frucht gar nicht mehr wahrnehmbar und die Bitterkeit von Schokolade/Espresso dominiert dieses Stout zu stark das es nicht ganz so harmonisch wirkt wie von 2 Jahren. Sehr interessant aber wie sich ein Bier über die Zeit entwickelt hat. 9/4/5/4/8

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Rum very present. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

500 ml bottle, Brew No. 099c, from Skjold Burne Hjørring. ABV is 6.0%. Black colour, large beige head. Aroma of dark malts, black rye bread and English liquorice, a hint of chili. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour with a moderate fruitiness, moderate dark malts, distinct liquorice and distinct chili, which leaves a nice throat burn. Would definitely buy again.

500 ml bottle, as Randers Midtnight Emperor, from Skjold Burne Hjørring. ABV is 10.1%. Black colour, large beige head. Nice aroma of roast malts and piney hops. Also notes of coffee and dark chocolate, hints of woodwork. Distinctly roasty flavour with notes of strong coffee, dark bitter chocolate, liquorice, pine needles and resin, quite bitter.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours a dark brown amber-ish with a thin white head. Aromas of dark fruits, roasted malt and yeast. Quite dark in the taste with alot of roasted malts.
