Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours deep amber with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds caramel and toasted bread. Medium sweet flavour with more bread, earth, dates, dried berries. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet toasted bread in the finish, dried fruits, mellow earthy bitterness. Nice beer.

Bottle, 7.1%. Farty, fruity aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is quite malty, has a dusty sweetness, perhaps some dried fruit. Quite clean. Peppery finish, but not boozy as such. The bitterness is a little above medium, rough but not bad at all.

Bottle, 6.1%. Creamy, roasted aroma, coffee, hint of salt and tar. Clear dark brown colour. OK stable light brown head. The flavour has a distinct coffee note to begin with, clean and pleasant. Turns quite bitter, like stale coffee in the finish. Not unpleasant, though. The mouthfeel seems quite thin to begin with, but perhaps it is OK afterall.
