Best before 05/2024, Batch: TMPLH1.19, brewed at Brouwerij Hof Ten Dormaal; Ingredients: water, barley malt, oats, sugar, yeast (no hops?)

AROMA: toasted sugars in the foreground, brown sugar, dark caramel, toasted bread & bread crust, sweetened oatmeal, dried fruits like prunes, figs & hints of cheery, dried raspberries, milk chocolate but also mild high cocoa one on the edges, soft plum brandy (not hot or boozy), hints of coffee, subtle umami presence, subtle oxidation note (dry cardboard), hints of toasted onions, very faint perfume, cinnamon & grounded ginger

TASTE: smooth carbonation, tiny & creamy bubbles, nice oily, silky & velvety mouthfeel, also a bit syrupy on the edges, thins out in the second half of the bottle, medium full body; moderate sweet onset of toasted sugars, caramel, faint molasses, impressions of caramel chocolate, butterscotch mixed with red/dark dried fruits, red candy esters, smooth oatmeal, medium strength bitterness from roasted malts, well roasted barley coffee, hints of ash, grassy notes, gentle spicy alcohol adds extra touch, mild savory & mineral presence, smooth dry finish with lingering esters & soft roast

OVERALL: very well crafted, smooth and dangerously drinkable with nice amount of sweetness, fruit esters and solid bitterness; alcohol is remarkably hidden; highly enjoyable with that typical Skåne sweet touch;

Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours hazy bright orange with a dissipating white head. The aroma is soft, juicy, fresh, bright, apricot, mango, papaya, persimmon, light chilli spice and fruit salad. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, tangy, zingy, juicy, mango, apricot, persimmon, warming chilli spice, mango salsa, fruit smoothie, candy, minerality and something green with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Strikes a nice balance.

Aroma is nice fresh green mango, spicy chilly, green pepper, with gooey banana bread, smoked chilly pepper.. Doesn't quite work, but is interesting. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy sour, green apple, spicy top of the mouth mellow heat, green pepper, rounded wheat malts, prickly . Palate is semi sweet, prickly, green, moderate carbonation, light tang. Mellow warming in the finish.

Smell- medium strong, malt, roast, cofee Foam- medium-thick, malty, roasty, some alcohol tones. The Head is small, quite dark brown in color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, dark, evil, atmospheric looking label, I like it. Black color, no carbonation, some sediment at the bottom. From- snifter Taste - malty, coffee, alcohol, roast, some sweetness, and more coffee. Very cofee-ish and malty, some sweetness in the mix. Not bad actually, alcohol is not well hidden, but it is quite high anyway. Not bad.
