Sampled at Zythos 2009. Clear amber, lasting beige head. English bitter aroma, malt that has English characteristics especially on the caramel flavour. I thought that it was ok

Draught at ZBF09. Weak spicy aroma, hint of coriander. Cloudy dark yellow colour. Nice big stable creamy white head. The flavour is mildly spicy, mostly clove. Hint of pepper in the finish. Quite clean for a tripel, but slightly anonymous. 7 3 7 3 15

Bottle, 8.5%: 3 years past BB date. Honey aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour is a little earthy. Has a strange dry liquorice note. I liked it a lot better fresh. 5 3 4 3 9 for this cellared version.

Draught at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 Pours a murky dark urine colour (sorry but that was my first thought) with a decent white head. I believe that this was passed on from Ian, cheers mate. Musty hoppy aroma. Tingly bitterness is ever present, sweet maltiness, soft in mouth, quite good stuff. A6 A2 F7 P4 OV14 3.3
