Bottle shared. Pours hazy dark golden with an off white head, after some lively fizzing and minor gush. Aroma of biscuity malt, caramel, light red fruits, molasses and yeast. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with high carbonation.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Lots of pressure. We had to open this one slowly. Thick creamy white head. Cloudy blond pour. A decent tripel but a bit too yeasty

Bottle @ Home. Pours brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of malt, little caramel, wood, wine, little sweet fruit. Flavor is light sweet, malty, tart fruit, cherries, wood, wine. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, tart and acidic finish. 260914

330ml bottle: BBD Jan 2015. Poured carefully into an ’Augustijn’ chalice at home on 24th Sep 2014. No sediment left the bottle, so I got a lovely looking chestnut reddy brown bodied beer with a full off-white crown on top: clear and clean body. Red berry and semi-sour feel to the nose and taste, different and interesting more than ’marvelous’ and ’wonderful’. A beer with a mixed style, is it an old Flanders red or a de Garde with attitude? I tried to like it and almost succeeded finding it fairly rich in body depth and flavour, even if I could not tell what kind of beer it should be pigeon holed into, if any!

Bottle split at Mother Arch, thanks to Ian, 06/09/14. Hazed orange amber with a well appointed off white covering. Nose is pomegranate, spice, light floral, yeast esters, straw, cotton candy, bitter orange. Taste comprises caramel, straw, yeast esters, bitter orange, spice, faded hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Well balanced quad but not necessarily a superior quad. Pours reddish orange without Much head or lacing. Floral yeast and some prune. Light sweet finish. Thick palate.

Bottle from Willems. Clear brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. 160914
