Bottle: (5.7%) Pours clear, copper red with a thick, oatmeal coloured head. Caramel, cola aroma. Taste is watery caramel malt, with a slight leafy bitter...bread heel. Not bad.

Sample at the Columbus Microbrew Festival on 09/15/2013: Pours flat black with a medium thick foamy light brown head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and resiny hops. The finish is roasty with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Good beer all around.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered brown body, slow steady carbonation bubbles within, thin white head. Probably the first barrel aged Nut Brown I’ve had. Barrel aroma combined with some toffee, caramel, brown chocolate. Mild and subdued, but still tastes bigger than 5.8%. Smooth caramel booze candy finish. Very unique, it’s nice to have a drinkable barrel aged beer. Refined, yet bold flavors. Well done.

On draught at the brewpub. This is the July selection in Elevator’s "MBA" program. The beer is a clear brownish-amber color with a medium creamy light beige head that dissipates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and hops. Medium-bodied with a strong black coffee flavor along with some hops and pine in the background. The finish is moderately bitter with a roast coffee aftertaste. Solid beer overall.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange and frothy off white head. The aroma is chilis and pepper. Thick mouthfeel with strong burn of chili peppers. Wrecked my palate and couldnt taste anything for half an hour. Why?
