Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with a large creamy dark beige head that lingered and produced great lacing. The aroma was dry and very roasty and bitter with a hint of coffee. The flavor was dry, bitter, smoky and roasty with notes of coffee and wood. The finish was long, dry, bitter and woody. medium body. Not my style but decent none the less.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a medium yellow-golden color with a small soapy white head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was dry and biter with light fruity hops - some grapefruit noted but otherwise vague. The flavor was bitter and nutty with a caramel undertone and vague fruity hops. The finish was medium length dry, bitter fruity hops. Medium body. Ok.

6.4
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/14/09

Aroma: Light hops on the nose, citrus
Appearance: Clear dark gold color
Flavor: Citrus hops, bit stronger then the nose, but similar
Palate: Light to medium body, a bit on the dry side
Overall Impression: This beer is nothing to write home about, but its an enjoyable, I'll be it subtle and mild, example of the style.

5.6
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5

Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/14/09

Aroma: Decent nose, nutty, roasted, coffee
Appearance: Dark black, tan head
Flavor: Similar to the nose, malty, a bit on the dull side, but not bad
Palate: Light body and watery, a bit too thin
Overall Impression: This beer is OK. It's nothing special, but it is drinkable, looks nicer then it tastes, and ends up being a touch to dull and watery to be considered anything more then an alright stout.

6.6
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/14/09

Aroma: Citrus and floral hops, caramel
Appearance: Clear golden-amber color
Flavor: A bit more earhty then the nose, but similar flavors, decent, but not big hoppy flavor, well balanced with the malt backing
Palate: Medium body
Overall Impression: This is a relatively tame IPA, but not in a bad way. It's got some nice flavors, and enough hops to make it enjoyable, while staying mild enough for the types of customers that Tun Tavern is bound to attract. I mean they are in an Outlet Mall next to casinos, so I wasn't expecting some sort of crazy hoppy IPA, it works for what it is.

**Just added this beer, so I'll be the first to rate it as well.

Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/14/09

Aroma: Mostly citrusy, lemon, tangy, wheat
Appearance: Mildly hazy yellowish color
Flavor: Lemony and wheaty, on the sour side
Palate: Light body, mild
Overall Impression: Beer had some of the typical German Hefe flavors, but it was overly sour, and a bit too thin, and that decreased the score for me. Pretty darn dull as well.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5

Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/14/09

Aroma: Mostly sweet fruits and malts, a bit bready
Appearance: Clear dark amber color
Flavor: Sweet malt, minimal hop characteristics
Palate: A bit thin, kind of a boring mouthfeel, not great
Overall Impression: Thought this one was alright, a little thin, and not overly exciting, but drinkable.
