Best before date on back label is 18/11/18. Pours a dark brown colour with a hazy amber highlights. The big head is frothy, fluffy, light mocha-coloured with long retention and thick patchy lacing. Lots of nutty notes in the aromas with dark fruits from the malts. Prune, plums and mild alcohol. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy, kind of refreshing for a Quad and the alcohol is a little more felt, but nice for a winter warming effect. More nuts in the start going through better blended dark fruits and even, maple syrup, toffee. The coffee is only felt in the finish. Very light with hints of chocolate lingers. Quite a nice one.

Pours very unclear (yeasty) dark amberblonde. OK to big white head. Smell is full, malty, bit bitter, complex. a herbal aspect. Taste is more bitter than expected. Very frresh ’green’ hoppyness, in a very nice, natural way. Decent MF and carbo. nice intensity. I’m guessing the hops here would be target, since I recogniwe the herbal green hoppyness from a beer I brewed myself ( with target ) Not sure it’s that specific hop though. very nice profile, very nice intensity and MF. perhaps not the best lookin’ beer though. Earlier Rating: 2/2/2017 Total Score: 3.5Pors unclear amberbrown. OK white head. Smell is weak, bit crisp. Taste is bit bitter, some aromatic features ( malt ) very mild sweetness. The taste is very nice, but just not very intense. OK mouthfeel and carbo.

Pours unclear blonde, small to ok white head. Smell is bit malty, very very mild hoppyness. Taste is full, sweet side of hoppyness, bit floral. Typical NZ hops. Very creamy hoppyness. Some maltyness. Rather creamy. Very nice

330ml bottle from Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Pours a misty amber, medium white head. Aroma has vibrant chai spice, floral, exotic fruit, . Taste is smooth, markedly spicy with cinnamon, chai, orange fruit and tea with some nice floral notes. Flavoursome and different.

Thnx to ships ! Pours unclear amber, OK white head. Smell is creamy, rich, bit fruity. Taste is bit bitter, grainy, ambermalts. Bit sweet, aromatic. I like it, apparently way more than Tim and Eugene. Style preference, perhaps ?

330 ml. bottle shared. Dark amber reddish, creamy white head. Nose is stale dull BE yeast (sure that is a mistake on my behalf, why use BE yeast here?), sugar, old herbal, very sweet, some interesting dark bread malts, metallic,... Malt base on this is interesting, dark bread chewy but the rest is less interesting, quite metallic, overly metallic, caramelized carrot, sweet grains, candy & BE yeast, very basic. Body is metallic with malts. A too tame take on the style perhaps?
