Bottle from Stacks.Hazy black, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee liqueur, fondant, espresso, vanilla, vodka, prune, raisin, vague varnish. Taste has sweetish prune & raisin in a dark-chocolatey, toasty malt body with some spicy notes. Earthy hops in the finish, lingering espresso, coffee roast, fondant and warming vodka-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite good, somewhat on the rough side.

An off white head on a thick dark caramel body. The nose is sweet and balanced, with brown sugar, dark fruit and a hint of Belgian yeast. The taste is classic quad - sweet ripe fruit, toffee, raisins, some citrus hoppiness, understated Belgian yeast and dense slightly raisted caramel malt. A nice slick mouth feel, medium carbonation and a rich body that is not too sticky.

375 ml bottle. Pours a muddy brown gusher with a tone of carbonation but little head. Aromas of oaky white white, caramel, raisins and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with oak leading (and a bit overwhelming).

16/V/25 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared with Thirstybird @ home, BB: 27/IX/27 (2025-481)
Clear brown beer, small creamy light beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: weird, smells like tofu, some soy sauce as well, a soft roast, some chocolate on warming up. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: spicy start, nutmeg, cloves, a bit sweet, yeasty, malty, some bitter touch. Aftertaste: lots of cloves, some bubble gum, more spicy, bitter, roasted malts, a hint of chocolate, cardamom, there’s a lot to it, but it’s a bit much. Feels like it’s going all different places all at once. I only got the nutmeg, no cinnamon or vanilla... :(
