Hard pour from a widget can into a Guinness pint glass.
Beautiful looking stout, looks black initially but holding it to the light you get shades of transparent ruby red to deep brown. A finger or so of tight tan nitro head persists leaving fairly dense lacing.
Aroma of dark malts, coffee and roast, hints of dark stone fruit and cocoa.
Flavor tends to follow the aroma, slight sweet dark malts, cocoa, cold brew coffee, a bit of ashiness toward the end of the palate.
The mouth feel is exceptional, light to medium light body, very smooth with the nitro playing it's part adding to the smoothness, slight balance from the roast and bittering hops make this one very easy to drink and keeps you coming back for more.
Overall it's a classic for a reason, it's not the best but it's far from the worst, would love to be able to try this on draft from the source some day but it's still one I gladly revisit especially this time of year.

Can at the Abbey in Brookline, 3/14/26.
Roasty, lightly chocolatey. Light fruitiness.
Tastes like Guinness but sweeter. Can't really speak to how well this approximates the real thing, but as an NA beer it's done well. On the sweeter side but not thin, thank God. Chocolatey, lightly toasty with a reasonable attempt at bitterness to balance.

In my opinion, it is not the best porter that I drank in my life, drinkable, really watery, few roasted malt and coffee, dry, hop 18.03.17, at Prélaz.

can @ interspar (budapest) deep orange colour, thin body, weak carbonated, but long lasting white head, decent malty, decent hoppy, lightly citrus with some exotic fruits, lightly grassy, floral notes hints, easy to drink, bit disappointing me

Red with a light, off-white head. Light sweet malts, grain, a touch of toasted malts, light earth. Medium bodied. Finish is short. Not bad.

Bottle drunk at home after music jams and swimming. Very dark brown, lovely tall dark tan head. Nose of sweet roast notes, molasses. Full body, sweeter and less dry than the stout. Still a nice balance of bitterness and toasty malt flavor.

440m can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Shared with Frau Eva on a Friday afternoon. Black in the glass, creamy off-white head blanketing the glassware. Inviting roasted malty smell. Tasted alright with creamy dark malts added a note of coffee. Short roasted tail. A well made and tasty non-alcoholic beer. (Tromsø, 13.02.2026).

Ayrshire Coastal Walking Mini Break Beer#19. Due a re-rate. Not quite black, but quite crisp and smooth, good-looking, it has milky dark malts that do a job.

Guinness 0 draught can from Busch's. Pours a deep brown with finger of beige, creamy foam that lingers. Looks like a Guinness for sure. Some nutty aromas with soy sauce and umami as it warms. Palate is very similar with soy sauce and faint chocolate notes. Smooth finish. Not bad.
