About
six°north was established in 2013. The concept was born in Belgium when founder Robert Lindsay fell in love with the country’s beer culture and tradition. He soon returned to north east Scotland to start brewing his own beers, six°north of Brussels. We make modern, artisanal beers that are driven by Belgian brewing tradition and inspired by modern brewing practices.
Our beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. We brew classic Belgian inspired beers, as well as modern, hop-forward styles. We also release a number of collaboration beers each year with other breweries.

Bottle shared at Colin's high Wycombe tasting. Thanks. A murky dark gold orange coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, Belgian, yeas t, light orange. Flavour is composed of creamy wheat, orange rind, Belgian yeast, fennel, mild bitter. Palate is semi sweet, pithy. Lowish carbonarion. Ok.

330 ml bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.1%. Black colour, small tan head. Aroma of roast malts, red wine, oak and cherries / cherry kernels. The flavour is slightly sour, with the same elements as the aroma. Moderate hops.

Bottle picked up from Etre Gourmet Grez-Doiceau, Belgium. Consumed at home Wednesday 5th August 2020 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours dark brown almost black with a light beige head. Elastoplast on the nose *Loz hates this, actually I should say LOZ HATES THIS. A touch roasty, smoother than expected, the Islay ageing is prominent but maybe I have changed over the years but it's not what I expected. Good.

Keg at SixD. It pours hazy amber with a medium foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, tart, zingy, grapefruit, lemon, sherbet, pomelo, lime and lemongrass. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, bitter, earthy, toothy, pithy, zesty, pine, grapefruit, orange, pomelo, funk, tannin, leather, peppery spice, earth and a touch of alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Works well. Tart citrus IPA. works well. Quaffable.
