Description
Since our inception on a commercial scale in 2008 we have evolved as a brewery immeasurably.
The Brewery has moved up several gears in the past 12 months & is now growing at an alarming rate!

We as a team have grown with the brewery. Started in 2008 with Directors James Farran, Andy Baker & Meyrick Kirk the brewery now has a fulltime drayman, a head brewer, a managing director & soon to be further additions to the team.

We are a brewery with an extreme passion & a strong identity, our beers are unapologetically flavour forward in nature, hop & malt laden beers that challenge today's modern beer lover. Beers with heart, soul & raging personality.

In the coming years we plan to continue to grow by fervently pushing the boundaries of what is possible when brewing beer, to excite you the deserving beer connoisseur who should settle for nothing less than than beers that excite & ensare your senses. We invest heavily in our beers with LOTS of the very best ingredients, why settle for beers that don't?

Pigs Ear. Clear gold beer. Light dry palate. Reasonable hops but they are bitter and then there is a little smoke. A bit of weird mix.

Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Black pour crowned with a tan head. Super enticing nose of dark choc, roast, fruits and hop. Fullish mouthfeel. Complex and tasty flavour that had roasted malts tussling for position with piney hop alongside some citrus and choc notes. Some bitterness towards the finish with a little booze. Plenty to like here. These guys produce some good stuff and this is maybe the best I’ve tasted yet from their quiver. Would definitely seek out again

Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Like a black IPA, but not quite there. Doesn’t have much kick. Some pine and decent roast. Bitterness fades too quickly. Also has some slightly soapy Belgian-esque character. OK. It’s not bad, there’s just nothing too exciting here. I think I need to try this beer again as this experience seems atypical against other reviews.

Cask at CPK, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white head. Light buttery dough aroma, bread, certainly a does of diacetyl here. Medium sweet flavor with some lightly toasted dough. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Sweet on the finish with some light earth and grain, light pine. Nice enough, though the condition doesn’t seem optimal.

330 ml bottle bought @ The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Pours oily pitch black with a big creamy and frothy milk chocolate brown head that slowly dissipates while clinging to the glass and leaving some thick thick lacing. Smell is sweet and dominated by dark roast coffee, wood, roasted malts, resin, pumpernickel, liquorice fudge, hay, pine, wet soil, green herbs and hints of alcohol and vanilla. Taste is sweet and very bitter with roasted malts, pine, dark roast coffee, resinous wood, salty liquorice, dark bread, alcohol, vanilla, bitter cocoa powder and hints of sheet metal. Mouthfeel is intense, dry, oily bitter and full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with pine, roasted malts, resinous wood and dark roast coffee. A bit rough around the edges but still quite good.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Slightly hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, citrusy and sweet malty. Flavour is quite much the same with a crisp maltyness and finishes in a quite strong grapefruity tart bitterness. Also some zesty notes in the finish.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Very dark brown, close to black, with a beigeish brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, caramel, chocolate and some old coffee. Flavour is quite similar with some ashy and wet burnt wooden notes. Lovely.
