Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast, bread, some grainy notes. Taste has mellifluous notes, biscuits, bread, some floral yeast. Palate has more of that same floral yeast, sits well on the nose, fairly crisp finish, more light Pilsen notes. Great.

750ml bottle. At the February DCBeer share. Poured a clear golden color, very light compared to other beers I've had this morning. Some stonefruit, grape, lemon. Grain. Barrel comes through on this a bit, with a funky white wine finish.

Pours a hazy, gold-banana, with big head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, with some resin. Very resinous flavor as well, along with citrus and tropical fruits. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish.

Pours a lightly hazy, pale lemon-tea color, with smallish head (doesn't look all that great, actually). Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, a bit dusty overall. Flavors follow, more pronounced, and somehow, more delicious (this stuff tastes really good). Mouthfeel seems a touch thin. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish. I liked it.

Pint at the brewery pours a translucent burnt orange with a lovely lacey white head. Nose has malt and honey, pine and orange, grapefruit, soap. Flavor has a pretty big honey note and grain bill. Big citrus and pine, soap sort of fades. Doesn't scream old school, it's a bit too sweet. Good though.

8oz pour at the brewery is a nearly opaque black with a ring of beige head. Nose has burnt malts, toast, black licorice and some coffee grounds. Flavor has malt and burnt toast, smokey even, coffee and some dark cocoa powder. Medium full bodied with a bitterness from the roast. Drinks a little bigger than it is.
