Cloudy golden colour, dull. Nice aroma, fruity, sweet oranges, cedar. The mouthfeel is dry, a bit chalky, and astringent; bitter orange peel character, not enough juicy, with pithy bitterness.

Brassy and bright, with a medium head. Earthy, toasty kind of nose. Not necessarily English hops but could be Mt. Hood or Willamette or one of those other 90s cultivars you don't see much anymore. So it ends up being more of a woodier, mushroomy sort of pale. Well-made, I think, but not really my type of beer. Even at the time in the 90s, I wasn't 100% what the point of neutral beer was. Well, someone must like it.

Amber-brown. Thin head. Toasty nose, moderate bitterness. Slight esters. This comes across more like a regular alt, as the bitterness is not all that big on the palate, IBU number aside. I'm unsure if this is the right yeast character - seems like it's not, or it didn't get the extended lagering a sticke should have. It's ok.

Medium brown. Thin head. Phenolic nose - bubblegum especially, but there's also some chocolate and sweet malts. The phenols are more restrained on the palate, thank goodness, because bubblegum is a part of no Belgian style known to man. So while the fermentation flaw detracts from the beer, there's enough dryness and character to make this one drinkable.

Attractive red colour. Sour and tart with a big berry nose. Tart, bright fresh berries. The concept is rather dated and uninteresting, but within that context the execution is superior.

Slight haze, light tan colour. Very thin head. Very earthy, kinda yeasty. Malts have a touch of biscuity character but they’re also a bit flabby. I wouldn’t say that any of the flavours come together...frustrating because on first taste the sort of does, and you know they were close but missed. I hope they make this again with a few adjustments because there’s a beer here somewhere.

Hazy and light brownish-purplish colour. Thin head. Light tartness, has some fruit, but also some phenols in there that really detract. I think you end up with a wonky base beer and not nearly enough fruit character to mask it. Still drinkable but definitely sub-optimal.
