This is the second collab of the rauchbock between these two breweries, with substantially different specs. It's also a hell of a lot better, too. Amber, light brown, lots of smoke on the nose, rich smokey, sugary malts. Damn... one of the best rauchbocks I’ve had in North America. Hope I can revisit this one.

Golden-brown. Thin head. Mellow smoke nose, bigger smoke taste. Has a caramelly body - the malts lack the depth and complexity of a good lager - but at least the smoke is abundant and tasty.

On tap at the brewery. Pale amber, haze, thin head. Nice bitter note with hints of orange.

Lemon and lime. Clear gold with a decent white head. Soured lime and lemon with a tart dry finish.

Slight haze, sort of dull looking. On the nose, it's got lots of kettle sour on the nose, maybe lime, not sure what else. Lots of lime on the palate, lots of kettle sour. The salt is there, too. Tip of the hat for not calling a kettle sour with salt a gose. Thank you for caring about beer.

Light amber with a slight haze, mostly chewy, soft caramel notes and toasty hops, not actually that much elderflower taste, just a touch in the finish.

Hazy dullish gold, without much head. Very fruity, slightly citrusy. Malts are a bit on the dull side and so’s the yeast character, which lends a bit of phenols. Ends up just ok

Hazy dull blonde, not much head. Very spicy dank hop character with moderate bitterness. Two great hops but not sure they are optimized here, as neither the malts nor the yeast are built to showcase these varietals. It’s the difference between good and great.

Pale gold colour, no head. Strong kettle taste with lowish acidity and just a light bit of cucumber that shows up mostly in the finish.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy amber orange with a small off-white head. Nose is loaded with espresso upfront, lots of vegetables, and herbal notes. Flavour is very vegetal, with lots of boiled herbal notes, and a touch of espresso. Way too vegetal. Not too good.

Doughy with some mango. Cloudy gold with a small white head. As it smells. Just ok.
