Description
David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Bottle at Brewforia Beer Market in Meridian, ID Ruby red color and nary a head but for a thin line of bobbles around the edge. Nice Cherry aroma, slightly of cough syrup, and a soft woody note as well. Flavor was a nice balance of the moderate Belgian yeast character and an up front byt not over powering cherry flavor. A little alcohol note added to the slight cough syrup flavor, but nicely done. Mild and not obnoxious, but not particularly bold and daring. Tasty.

Bottle: Dark brown pour with a thin, creamy brown head. Light aroma is dry and roasty with bits of bittersweet cocoa. Roasty overtones dominate the flavor, but there is not much else going on. A little bittersweetness in the tail. A little metallic twang that goes away once it warms a bit. Ok, but nothing noteworthy.

OK, but too much bitterness in the finish. The alcohols are well hidden.

Bomber courtesy of douglas88 pouring clear copper with tan head. The aroma has muted spicy to earthy hoppy notes followed quickly by various malts. The taste has plenty of floral and spicy hops to go around as it rolls into earthy hops, malt sweetness, some biscuit malt qualities and then sweet caramel malts too.

Bomber courtesy of douglas88 pouring clear copper with light tan head. The aroma is biscuit, malt, some caramel malt and modestly roasted malts. The taste is biscuity, malty and has pulses of vague hop bitterness as well as sweet caramel malts. It seems to get a touch grainy around the edges as it heads into the finish. Full malt forward brew seeming somewhat disjointed.
