Dark brown. Thin head. Has some toasty notes, medium body, touch of alcohol, with a crackery note. It's decent, but could do with more body and more complexity. Not bad - the roasty character comes through well and is the focal point of the beer.

355mL can, pours a deep dark burgundy with a small tan head. Nose is full of roasted malt, bitter black liquorice, and bitter cocoa. Flavour is extremely bitter and roasty, with intense roasted malt and hoppy bitterness in rather jagged balance. Nice roast and bitterness, but the integration could be better. Decent.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a small dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some pistachio and coconut notes is very enticing. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some pistachio notes and coconut notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation. Interesting mix and flavors are well balanced.

Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with some discernible alcohol notes. Interesting and drinks well for a 16% beer.
