Fairly clean, but some tiny transparent particles hazing a tad. Golden colour with a beautiful, creamy, warm-white head that stays long enough, and leaves creamyish, streaky lacing. The chamomile blends well with the wheat base that shows sweetness, banana notes and hints of apples. The mouthfeel is oily-creamy, but does finish dry with time. Some light caramel-banana flavours with a little grassy-bitterness near the end. The alcohol seems well-hidden, and some decent Witbier yeast seems to wrap the package. A pretty, easy-drinking Double Witbier.

Pours a real dark brown colour, kind of black, with little ruby highlights. The head is big, creamy, light mocha-coloured with good retention and full sticky-creamy lacing. The aromas are mostly the Stout-side of things with the roasted malts, and a touch of chocolate. A creamy, lightly oily mouthfeel with the hazelnut lingering on the tongue, some tartiness. Some good bitterness all-around, that keeps building, creating a nice drying finish. The vanilla is almost non-existing. The chocolate notes are mostly bitter cacao. A good Imperial Stout that is not the dessert you expect, but a bitter-drying one.

Absolument sublime.
Hautement appréciée !

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter toffee og vanilje. Lett. Smaker sjokolade, noe bitter kaffe og kakao. Kort.
Thick, heavy and boozy with some roastiness, sweetness, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and dry cocoa powder. A bit unbalanced, quite boozy.

330 ml bottle, as Beauregard Espresso Corsé Bière de Glace Cuvée 2025, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 18%. Pitch black colour, surprisingly heavy carbonation, huge beige head which takes a long time to settle. Aroma of roast malts, espresso coffee (no surprise), hints of unsweetened liquorice and dark bitter chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, also distinct bittering hops. Intense stuff, the bottle should be shared by 2 persons.

330 ml bottle, as Beauregard Baba au Rhum Barley Wine de Glace Cuvee 2025, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 17%. Hazy brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of oak and rum-raisin, also hints of other dark dried fruits. Sweet flavour as expected, but not cloying, with the same elements as the aroma, but also an astonishing sharp bitterness throughout. Apparently the freeze distilling has also concentrated the hop bitterness. Definitely something out of the ordinary, and it is not a shame to share the bottle between 2 persons.

Dark brown. The aroma is a bit of caramel/vanilla. A bit on the thin side. On the palate, less rich relative to what it smelled like. Decent balance.

Shared can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.1%. Reddish amber colour, moderate off-white head. The name does not lie: Both the aroma and the flavour have notes of blackberries, blueberries and vanilla, the lactose is there, but the beer is not overly sweet. There are also citric notes (pomelo) with a fairly distinct grapefruity bitterness in the finish. Unusual and interesting.

Shared can at Mi2 at Cardinal 13.09.25. Strange aroma and taste of strange fruit, pomello, honey and more.
