On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted biscuity malt and a gentle dry hopping to provide balance. Clean and refreshing, it drinks well. Decent.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Red amber color, just hazy, with small creamy head. The aroma is a bit too mild. The mouthfeel is lean, not too dry, the flavor has some caramel and a cereals character that is too strong; the final has some roasted nuts, but also a chicory-like bitterness.
An ok ESB, not very English IMO.

On tap at The Cascade Room, pours an orange tinted blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out grassy notes, light wheat and maybe a touch of cherries. Flavour is pretty shy on the cherry, with wheaty and grassy notes. Pretty boring and bland, but clean. Meh.

Bottle. dark golden, fine carbonation, big lacing foamy head. Light minerally caramel/crystal malt nose with slightly earthy and herbal hops. Medium light body, mellow chewy mouthfeel. Sparkly dry on the palate. ESB with a very light modern world touch.

Bottle. Light hazy golden, white lace. Slightly mealy chewy malt base, good classic hops, a hint fruitiness. Very pleasant, a bit closer to an Export than a pils but nice.
