Dark amber and bright. On the nose, toasty. On the palate, toasty. I don't find much iced tea, and a hint of the tannins.

473mL can, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy iced tea, subdued hops, and bready malt. Flavour is not actually that bad, with lots of sweet caramely bready malt, earthy notes, and oversteeped iced tea. Doesn't seem all that hoppy, just loads of iced tea. Not terrible but not good.

Tasting at Phill's, bottle
Black colour. Roasted malt aroma, a bit phenolic. Good body strength, moderate sweetness, strong roasted malt character, a bit ashy, with moderate bourbon.
Quite good.

Tasting at Phill's, bottle
The bottle is a partial gusher. Ugly, cloudy red-brown colour. Nice fruity aroma, strawberry jam, light fart. Highly carbonated, off-dry, a bit vinsous, fruity, it ends with some astringency, coming for the unplanned extra bottle fermentation.
Messy.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with small beige head. Good barrel on a below average stout. Chocolate, bourbon, soso.

Medium-brown, no head. Nutty aroma, little bit of toffee, promising. It's a bit thin, but a nice barrel character, like chocolate, and a hint of caramel. Nice barrel.

750ml @ Phill's. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: nice barrel with some berries and fruity character. Taste: align the same lines with a noticeable roasty and ashy character. ON the thin side for 10%. Overall: ok.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out earthy bourbon and a touch of roast. Flavour reveals a nice vanilla character from the Heaven Hill, but the base beer just isn't that complex. So you have a nice barrel character imparting itself on a not great base beer. Good effort.
