Draft pour at Great Pumpkin Beer Fest. Pepper beer, so on the can't miss list. Dark cola brown pour. Expecting a ton of heat, which I love, when they advertised the reaper peppers, but there is absolutely no heat here. Cool, slightly sweet constant. Gingerbread? Pumpkin cookie. Spices, but pumpkin, and not peppers. Good beer overall, but far from what I expected from the descriptions.

On tap. Pours black with little head. Aromas of chalky roasted malts and dry black coffee. Flavors of rich dusty roasted malts, dark chocolate and milky espresso. Clean and slightly sweet. Really nice.

Draft pour at Postdoc. A thick, hazy golden orange pour. Pure ruby red aroma. A ton of grapefruit. Flavor is a grapefruit bitter juice, and nothing else really. Almost surprised there was even alcohol in this. Interesting, but far less what I look for in a beer.

Draft pour pint at Postdoc. A cleaner copper orange pour. Aroma doesn’t suggest the smoothie IPA description, but the flavor nails it. Grains, and the slightest hint of fruit in the nose. Flavor is pure strawberry. A bit jammy. Totally a smoothie. Slight peach, guava, and vanilla cream. Very unique IPA for sure. Very tasty.

Draft pour pint at Postdoc. Fun series. Haze craze made its way to Redmond. A juicy lemon yellow pour. Not much of a standout for the recent offerings in this style. It’s been difficult for me totally differentiate some of them, not calling them bad. Cool creaminess here. Strong grain impression, over a low bitter citrus fruit. NRobert exciting for me, but an easy drinking, juicy IPA here. Good stuff.

Draft pour pint at Postdoc, Redmond. Bright, glowing pink pour with a lasting fizz head. A fun series here, especially in these summer months. The fruit isn’t too overpowering. Straw grain under a grape aroma. Flavor is refreshing and tart, with a constant mixed berry. Not quite raspberry specific for me. Juicy. Good beer.

Draft pour pint at The Collective. A cloudy golden pour with a thin fizz head. A very subtle aroma of grassy hops. Flavor is a cracker grain and grassy hop combination, with the hops lasting. A soft orange like bitterness late. Very easy drinking session. A bit of a watery feel to It, but overall pleasant.

Draft pour pint at Postdoc Redmond. Thick, hazy, golden pour. Juicy vanilla cream and citrus aroma and flavor. Mellow bitterness. Flavorful. Lingering juicy hops. A fun addition to the haze craze, but nothing amazing.

Draft half pint at Chucks, 85th. Pours a much cleaner than expected golden color with a patchy head. Odd beer here. Grapefruit notes, but cool and minty. Vegetal notes. In no way what I would expect from an east coast IPA. Not too bad as an overall. A hop mess. Strange, but the most disappointing thing is that its not what it’s advertised as. In my opinion, of course.
