Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. Mild but strange aroma, wax, bread, delicate stone fruits, light flowers. Medium body strength, a bit of alcohol, some flavor of malt, honey, lightly medicinal, some lemon zest, some wax, light cream or butter.
A bit weird, but not the worst braggot, actually quite drinkable.

Draught @ Hastings Mill Brewing. Light amber, thin head. Strong chewy malt and alcohol, with a splash of earthy hops. Balanced if unexciting old school, from the early days of DIPA.

On tap. Pours a copper color with no head. Aromas of earthy dry honey and grain. Flavors of floral dry honey and light smoky wood on a soft toasty malt base.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out earthy, resinous hops, caramel malt and bready notes. Flavour is very fruity, with loads of red fruits, caramel malt and resinous hops. A very malt-forward IIPA, more like a hoppy barley wine. Solid.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals floral notes in the way of subdued wildflower honey. Flavour is moderately sweet, with floral notes, subdued honey, and a crisp biscuity malt finish. Light-to-medium sweetness, with a bitter, dry mouthfeel at the end. Decent - nothing special.

On tap. Pours black with very light head. Aromas of dark caramel, fudgey chocolate and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional sweet dark caramel and salt. Quite nice. A fun beer. I’ll have another.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel, light salt and some toasted malt. Flavour is quite rich, with lots of salt and caramel in quite a great cohesion, with a rich toasted malt backbone. Extremely caramel and moderately-to-highly salted. Rich, syrupy palate. This is quite nice.
