Draft - Touch of grains. Pale hazy yellow with a decent white head. Light grains and a touch of bitterness. A reasonable amount of flavour for a lager.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy dark copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out subdued coffee beans and a touch of lactose. Flavour is a bit harsh, with earthy stale coffee grounds. Not really getting the lactose. Dull and dirty. Not good.

Can. Gold colour. The saaz is a touch cheesy, the malts are a bit sticky, but in general it’s a decent pilsner.

On tap at St. Augustines, pours a hazy carame amber with a small white head. Aroma is very subdued, with toasted nuts and light bready malt. Flavour is likewise subdued, with notes of caramel, toasted nuts and candied sweetness. Timid and underwhelming. If youre going to brew like this, why do it so halfheartedly?

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Clean dark amber color. Light Aroma of caramel. I never had a Nanaimo bar, this beer has a mild nutty flavor and light caramel and chocolate, dry mouthfeel and short final. Mikkeller and Omnipollo can do some good dessert-beer, Old Yale can’t. Also, typical BC old style, they don’t dare brewing something stronger and sweeter.
Mediocre.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a clear purple with a medium murky white head - absolutely bizarre. Aroma is quite subdued, with just a hint of floral character. Flavour is quite subdued, with very light floral notes, not much else. Pleasant enough - tastes nowhere near as alarming as it looks. Okay.

Draught @ 12 Kings. Purplish colour with a thin head. Aroma is faint but if you try hard enough you’ll get some florals. On the palate a touch more floral but mainly a clean pale malt note and touch of hop earthiness. Don’t mind this.

Purple color. Dry and weak mouthfeel; light flowery aroma; light flowery flavor and very light fruit. The mild astringency in the final makes it not very suitable for crushing.
Nothing special.
