Medium brown. Thin head. Tart, touch of dark malt. Plums are evident but what do they add? The base beer goes nowhere, so not much.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a cascading white creamy head. Aroma brings out lots of lactose, herbal vegetal notes and subdued hops. Flavour is all sorts of fucked up, with vegetal notes, lactose, and earthy hops. Something is very wrong here. One of the nastiest milk IPAs I've had. Dreadful.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark color, almost black. Some dark bread, that clashes with the mild fruit acidity (the plums) and some lactic acid.
Not very pleasant.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy golden color, creamy nitro head. The aroma is mild, it’s fruity and footy. Low carbonation; light malt flavor, light acidity (why?), a bit fruity, but also creamy, buttery.
Very confused, not pleasant.

Bottle - Dark roast and some toast. Jet brown with a small light beige head. Soured plum and some roast, toast and a long finish. Not bad, but why?

Draft - Nitro - Orange peel and some caramel. Clear gold with a rich beige head. Citrus and intense mango notes with a creamy finish. Nothing like normal Milkshake IPAs, but quite fruity.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out the plums upfront, followed by a touch of tartness. Flavour brings out tart plums mixed with lacto - what an odd combination. After a while you get used to it and it works decently well.

Cloudy dull tan, with a frothy, bubbly head. On the nose it’s yeasty but the Ella comes through as well, lending lighter tree fruits and grapefruity notes. Mild bitterness, some yeasty character, and muddled malts. There’s also a touch of tartness, which along with the turbid appearance indicates a yeast problem. The hop brightness from the nose isn’t there on the palate. Should have been better, but for the yeast.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Hazy amber color with medium sized head. The aroma is a bit smelly, rancid, buttery. Light colored caramel and toffee flavor, some butter mixed with citrus peel from the hops, some bitter orange in the final.
Not a bad recipe, not a Double IPA either, and flawed.
