Description
There is something to be said about keeping a dream alive, and for a scrappy group of musicians, creatives and seasoned craft brewers, Sea Change Brewing Co. is that dream. All it took was decades of hustling, skill-building, and friendship cresting on a big swing in 2017 that launched the brewery. We started as a single-beer micro-brand and grew into an award-winning staple in the Alberta brewing scene thanks to our team’s engrained D.I.Y. work ethic and creative approach to branding and community collaboration. But behind it all, what remains true from the dream to the pint glass, are diverse, unpretentious beers, crafted with care, true-to-style, and most importantly, great tasting. Cheers Nerds.

Slight haze, pale. Medium head. Light pale, has a nice clean character, slight husky, low bitterness. It’s okay.

Slight haze, light bitterness, quite orangey, the mandarin just sort of dropped over top of everything else.

473ml can. Pours a clear red amber with a small, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, nuts and floral hops. Sweet flavour of biscuity pale malt, caramel, orange peel, nuts and floral hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Flavourful and easy to drink.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves sticky curtains of soapy lace. Sweet aroma of bready wheat malt, pineapple, coconut and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready wheat malt, lemon, pineapple, coconut and grassy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing, but too subtle.

Hazy pale, light peach. Grapefruit on the palate, with herbaceous gin barrel. Soft body, balanced, and a bit yeasty.

Dark brown. Sort of a rummy aroma. Ok, so that's more sherry on the palate, and tannins. Soft body, chocoately, and that creates an interesting interplay between the base and the barrel.

473ml can shared with my wife. Pours a hazy straw colour with a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Sweet fruity aroma of grainy wheat malt, lemonade and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, lemon and floral hops in a sweet finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average to soft carbonation. Crushable, but too sugary and watery for me.
