Description
Back in spring of 2013, word got around Elora that two different beer lovin’n groups of friends wanted to open a brewery: Matt and Jim were home brew buddies, and business colleagues Jon and Don eventually met up with brewer Alex and the two groups met. Many beers were drank. Many slurred conversations were had, and eventually the wheels were put in motion to open a brewery. Fast forward and the doors were opened a year later after a massive transformation of a beautiful, 150+ year-old limestone building. Since then, Elora Brewing Company has brewed hundreds of beers (we’re talking millions of litres of people) and become Elora’s number one late-night hot-spot and day-time hangout. And we make kick-ass beer too.

Slightly unfiltered with very tiny particles floating around (does get hazy at last pour). Golden colour with a creamy white head, good retention and lots of creamy lacing. Big dark green grassy aromas with alcohol, hints of mint, plastics over a malty base. The taste is fairly bitter, dry with the alcohol drying the end. Again, very grassy. Not my favourite Imperial IPA, but still going down decently.

Pours a golden colour with a slight film, a frothy white cap, average lasting, leaving a few foam spots. Pilsner malt aromas with some spicy-grassy hops. The spiciness of the hops continues in the taste. Milder cereal base that does linger a bit. Crisp, refreshing. Great for a summer lager with some bite to it.

Can from the LCBO. Cloudy pale gold with a small white head that fades slowly to a lingering sheet leaving spotty lace. Nose is bright tropical and citrus fruits with some light bread and floral notes. Light sweet malts with a medium grapefruit, pineapple and tangerine bitterness. Mouth is medium+ and creamy with average carb. Noce. 8/4-/7+/4-/15

Hazy light golden colour with a tad of orange. Gets cloudy at last pour, with an off-white cap, decent stay and some nice creamy-foamy lacing at the the bottom. Orange fruity peel aromas with some nice juiciness. Flavours are pretty close to the same. An easy-drinking juicy IPA that is not too hoppy, with a little bite in the mouthfeel. Pretty good !

This porter poured a deep black colour with a soapy, brown head. Minimal lacing. Scents include coffee, concentrate of beef and a little smoke. First swig was really good. A little thin, but made up for it in flavour. Tastes of smoke, coffee and caramel. Finish is burnt as hell and rich with caramel & coffee lingering.

500ml brown bottle that pours a hazy light-golden colour with a slight off-white head, good stay and thick foamy lacing. Fruity aromas of pineapples, peaches and some citrus. The taste shows the hops with their citrus and mild grassy notes. A little juicy, so goes down well. Refreshing, slightly dry... and pretty good.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a pink hue. The head is big, frothy, white, lasting a while and leaving some foamy traces. Sour aromas with notes of guava and hints of yeast. The taste shows more guava and less sourness. Very mild actually, so mostly fruity tropical note flavours. Light yeast on the tongue lingers. Kind of nice that the fruit is at the front, as this wave of sour beers calms down.
