Description
Back in spring of 2013, word got around Elora that two different beer lovin’n groups of friends wanted to open a brewery: Matt and Jim were home brew buddies, and business colleagues Jon and Don eventually met up with brewer Alex and the two groups met. Many beers were drank. Many slurred conversations were had, and eventually the wheels were put in motion to open a brewery. Fast forward and the doors were opened a year later after a massive transformation of a beautiful, 150+ year-old limestone building. Since then, Elora Brewing Company has brewed hundreds of beers (we’re talking millions of litres of people) and become Elora’s number one late-night hot-spot and day-time hangout. And we make kick-ass beer too.

500mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with the guava upfront, with some spicy, pepper notes, and tart citrus. Flavour is along the same lines, with guava, light vanilla, and a touch of tart citrusy pear. Spicy, with guava on the finish. Solid stuff.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Murky blond colour, almost no head. Huge guava aroma and flavour, well supported by some mild sweetness.

Cloudy, this has a touch of sourness, yeast, and a fair bit of guava. On the palate, I think it has a fair bit of guava flesh, bright and refreshing, touch of tartness. Wouldn't say much complexity, but with a really nice guava character.

How much hops did they put in this thing. Really well done, and my first from this brewery. Lost of hop nose that's a mix of resin, a touch of pine and tropical fruit. The taste is similar hop pop, leaning a little more to pine and tropical. Solid. And just over 5% makes it easy to drink a few...

Pours a hazy golden colour with a big soapy-frothy off-white cap, long lasting with some foamy lace left. Big citrus aromas with the juices of oranges and grapefruits... with their peel freshly put through the zester. A decent dry mouthfeel. The taste is also citrusy, but not as punchy. Some bitterness for a Pale ale, but not too crazy like an IPA. Big chunks come out at last pour, and brew gets cloudier. Well-brewed, for those who like hoppier Pale ales.
