Written 2019 on cork, 750ml Champagne bottle with cage and foil. Very dark brown colour with hardly ruby highlights, a mocha-coloured creamy head, good retention and some patches of foam lacing. Roasted malt aroma base with molasses, mild dark fruits, some wood and herbal-licorice notes. Lots of decent bitterness in the taste, with a nice dry finish, so not too rich, nor sweet. Feels like the mouthfeel is actually pretty thin for the style. Was not expecting this much hops in this one. Some warming in the end which is great for winter, after shovelling. A good dry, bitter strong dark beer, boozy as a winter warmer.

This black lager poured just that. Deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include vanilla, mocha, cocoa and a little coffee. First swig was delicious and not as sweet as expected with flavours of roasted malts, vanilla, chocolate, molasses and coffee. Finish is slightly sweet with roasted, coffee vanilla flavours lingering.

This IPA poured a hazy, deep yellow colour with a creamy, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include resin, cooked veggies, light ripe fruit and a hint of pineapple. First swig was milder than expected. Flavours of citrus, pineapple and grass with a slightly sweet overtone. Finish is hoppy but not unbearably hoppy, tastes of citrus and grass lingering.

Can from the LCBO. Vry dark mahogany with a small thick khaki coloured head that recedes slowly to a sheet and leaves tight lace. Nose is dark roast, coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Light+ chocolate sweetness with a medium- coffee bitterness. Mouth is medium- and creamy with a big roasty finish. 8/3+/7/4/15

This stout poured deep black colour with a creamy brown head. Minimal lacing. Scents include burnt toast, nuts, light smoke and molasses. First swig was extremely watery. Flavours of hazelnut, coffee and cocoa. Finish is pure black coffee.

750ml bottle from brewery order pouring a very slight hazed deeper amber colour with light ruby hues. Small light-beige head, bubbly and leaving some light creamy lacing. Nutty nose with a caramel malt base and hints of dark fruits. The mouthfeel has a nice bitterness at one point, with dryness in the finish that cuts the richness. The alcohol warms a little, but well-hidden overall. The taste is malty, a little sweet with the dark fruits, with the grassiness, alcohol doing a nice end. Kind of a nice scotch-drinking autumn warmer.

Hazy light golden-yellow colour with a big frothy-creamy off-white head, good retention and some foamy lacing. Stone fruit aromas with some orange juice base, blended with citrus zest. Pineapple does come out with time. The taste is milder, as an APA, but still has some nice citrusy hops and hints of watered-down honey. A pretty nice hazy Pale Ale with different notes.

Can from the LCBO. Hazy pale gold with a small lingering foamy white head. Spotty lace. Nose is bright citrus with tropical fruit and stone fruit along with some light bread. Flavour is similar but not as prominent with a light sweet malt base under a medium citrus peel bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a juicy finish. Can't go wrong with Citra. 8/4-/7/3+/15-
