Maybe the best creation from Bicycle yet, IMHO. A great deal of fresh and refreshing taste from such a light ABV beer. The nose has surprising notes of lemon along with honey and grain. The 37 IBUs generate a spritely fruity bitterness with lemon, orange and grapefruit elements. The honey and grain play well with the fruitiness. A hint of roasted nuts is a bonus.

This is a rerate after over a year in the cellar. In 2016 the head was pretty flat, but is explosive in 2018. The body is less merky, holding a light caramel hue. The nose remains slightly vegetal with spice and slightly harsh rum notes and touches of brown sugar. The taste profile remains less sweet than some BWs, featuring vanilla, slightly charred oak (as per the promo - I always enjoy it when the promotional material is actually accurate!), caramel, spice, a metallic, vegetal undertaste and an earthy bitterness. The aftertaste is a bit harsh for a barley wine. Density remains a bit thinner than most BWs. Overall, the cellaring hasn't made much difference and my rating remains the same.

A luminous golden body topped by a low white head. The nose is fresh citrus and tropical fruit with a nice brett yeast profile. A rich tasting cocktail of citrus and tropical fruit includes lemon, melon, grapefruit, and a touch of banana. The Brett yeast is fresh and funky but still light and enjoyable. Solid effervescence helps set off the taste elements. A refreshing, well balanced Brett IPA.

A low white head over a pink tinged light orange body. The nose leads with punchy grapefruit rind hops, with pine and some sweet malt. First off, this is a really fine DIPA. It’s a tale of two hops - big grapefruit led citrus punch from the citra hops and softer tropical and floral notes from the El Dorado hops. Both are big and fresh and not diminished by the added alcohol. The taste is all about the hops, but an appropriate biscuit sweet malt presence and a hint of pepper play an appropriate bit role. Really good.

A low but relatively dense well-laced off white head. The body is a honey brown colour with a classic Bicycle unfiltered density to it. The nose is lively and fresh featuring cloves, orange zest and nutmeg. A nicely made seasonal offering. Fresh ground nutmeg and cloves lead the taste, with caramel malt, some citrus zest and a touch of nuttiness underneath. The orange emerges as the taste develops. Dense and rich for a brown ale at 5.9% abv. Very tasty.

A thin white head on a hazy, unfiltered straw body. The nose is fresh, featuring pineapple, sweet malt and berries. Bicycle hits a nice balance of astringent and soft fruity hop notes in this new IPA. Pineapple is front and centre, but mango, orange and grapefruit elements kick up the blend. The malt is sweet caramel with a biscuit density. Touches of soap and pepper are welcomed additions. The mouth feel is smooth and a little slick, but not cloying. Glad I bought a couple of halfs of this one.

A dark, unfiltered dark mahogany body with a fluffy cream coloured head. The nose is understated with anticipated caramel malt and a touch of fruity hops. The taste profile leads with caramel, biscuit malt and some dark berries, but it is pretty unspectacular. There is a slightly metallic edge to it. Medium density and smooth mouth feel. A slightly sweet finish is to be expected. The \"Heavy\" is indeed \"Wee\".

The pure white head recedes fairly quickly over a pale straw body. A soft nose has citrus and earthy hop notes with malt. As advertised, this harvest ale leads with earthy and soft citrus hop elements with a touch of grassiness. A touch of grain and an appropriate malt base add secondary elements. Solid carbonation helps keep this refreshing, but I like the slight complexities that make this more than an ordinary ale.

A spiced malt nose, off-white head and a lovely red-copper hue. This is first and foremost a very refreshing pale ale. Heavy carbonation punches up the malt based flavour, augmented with a splash of cherry, some honey and a hint of pepper. Well balanced. I will be back for more.

Pours a lovely unfiltered, murky golden amber. Very fresh and refreshing first IPA from Bicycle. Pine and citrus hops play nicely on a soft malt base.
