Description
Alpha State is a brewery in rural Kent, producing modern beers.

Founded in 2012 by brewer Jonathan Queally. Alpha State quickly grew a reputation for creating world class beers, and have been in great demand ever since.

This new online store is to showcase the work and beers of good friend Bob Mortimer, whose extensive and continued work brewing beers with us has produced some incredible products. These exclusive one off beers are limited and are only available on this store.

Keg at Mother Kelly's - Bethnal Green. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Interesting aroma, some angel food cake, wheat bread, vanilla, Belgian yeast. Medium sweet flavourbwith prominent Belgian yeast, some candi sugar, a little alcohol, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more strong yeast expression, doughy wheat. Not bad.

On tap at Fuggles Beer Cafe Tonbridge. Black beer lasting tan head. Chocolate sponge cake aroma. Plenty more dark chocolate and nibness in the mouth. Just a touch of powder. Roast chocolate. Pretty good.

Pigs Ear. KeyKeg. Cloudy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light dry palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts. Good grapefruit, minty. Spicy thin orange. Trace of lemon on the crisp finish. Fruity and crisp but thin and dry.

From tap at MBCC. Hazy amber copper color with off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, caramel, light bready, citrusy fruity, grassy, herbal spicy. Sweet and moderate to heavy bitter taste. Medium almost oily body with soft carbonation.

Draught @ MBCC '17 [ Red Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Copenhagen Celebration 2017, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As Alpha State Bitterljuv ].Unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, orange, wood, hop oil. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, mash - amber mash, pale malt, orange, wood, marmalade hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
