Clear gold with a decent white head. Light apple and corn. Tasted much like it smells and some honey. Malty.

Can. Spicy, lemony nose with Belgian yeast influence. Bright gold. Sweet, spicy flavor, lots of citrus, and a very bitter, slightly raspy finished. Very hard to call this a saison. Basically a bitter golden ale with Belgian yeast. Maybe the worst Yebisu I have had to date.

500 ml can from 7-11. I think I have had one of these before. It's an all-malt lager using hops from Mr. Sato's fields in Kamifurano, Hokkaido. An interesting idea, though beers have not been all that exciting in the past. This is the 5th in the series. It does have a pretty bright hop nose, herbal, grassy, lemony. It is supposedly a Japanese varietal called Golden Star. Underneath and supporting is a crackery pilsner malt base. Starts out on the right foot. Probably not dry hopped, but definitely late hopped for aroma. Clear, medium golden with a medium head. Again, the hop flavor is nice, herbal, lemony, and the malt is rather light and crackery like a saltine. Not a bad industrial lager. Probably won't get more, but no complaints. They do make the hops the center piece.

Can from Family Mart. Aroma is quite bland, some malt, corn, bit of lemony hops. Pale gold with a fine head. Flavor is sweet grains, lemon, popcorn. Thin, weak, lame. You'd think something called a pils would me all-malt, but not this. Adjunct city.

Big iconic can from Tesco (was sure I'd rated this back in 2012) - Clear yellow body, big rocky white top. Nose has a corny aroma to it, but has a dry malty kick in the taste. Ice cold is a winner, solid performer.
