No adjuncts = better Sapporo. Nice toasted bread maltiness, with a modest floral bitter streak on the finish. Definitely the preferred Sapporo.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, dark yellow-ish to orange golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Minimally musty, grainy and strawy, pale malty aroma, minimally soapy hoppy overtones. Taste is mildly bitter, quasi flavourless hoppy, slightly grainy, pale malty basis, diluted hints of cereals; minimally mineral and soapy finish.
Watery texture, smooth and slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, prickly carbonation.
Rather expressionless, watery, passably drinkable - meh!

Can from Seiyu. The beers in this series just keep rolling out. Bright, cleear, pale gold with a tall, thick head. Bright citrus hops, mandarin orange and lemon. Also somewhat herbal. Clean pilsner-type maltiness. Bready, crisp, herbal, bitter. Shunshu Wase is not one of my favorite hops, but it seems to work pretty well here, at least in the nose. The finish is too harsh, almost astringent.

Press black, large off-white head.
Nose shows gentle roast, nutty malt, toasty notes, soft liquorice.
Flavours include heavy roast, with a fair whack of sweet caramel behind. Not too much bitterness, definitely on the sweeter side.
