On tap at Tap & Barrel. Pours clear gold with a white head. Harsh pine on the nose. Flavour has candied orange peels, some pine, and a very harsh chemical bitterness. Maybe diacetyl? Either way, quite harsh and hard to drink.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear yellow gold with white head. Mild gas fumes, berry hops, feint pine backing. Decent.

Golden and slightly hazy. Good bitterness, clean pale malt. Nice hop character, only feels a bit nz, maybe the malt’s a touch heavy? Na, it’s goof stuff.

Opaque. Thin head. Aroma is soft, pears and peaches. Starts out with hop burn, then some peach, and finishes with more hop burn. Ok so Coast Mountain’s newfound quality doesn’t extend to making hazies. Good to know.

Cloudy yellow small white head fades quickly. Juicy grapefruit nose. Fruity palate, citrus zest with medium strength lasting bitterness.

Hazy and pale. Thick head. Ok, a bit wheaty. Light stone fruit, vague hop, low bitterness. Balanced, but unambitious.

473mL can, pours a clear bright golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out the wonderful NZ hops, with gooseberry, melon and white wine notes, with a subtle grassiness in back. Flavour is bright, with a very nice NZ hop expression—again, gooseberry, soft melon, white wine—with a crisp biscuity malt base. Very nice subtle hop expression and eminently drinkable. Very good.

Gold, lasting white head. Nose of spruce and light fruit notes. Big spruce palate, quite pleasant.
