Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy amber color. The aroma is bready, candy section of a small town grocery shop, some chemicals. Semi-dry mouthfeel; the flavor is a mix of candy caramel and vegetables, tomatoes; robust bitterness.
A joke beer, so wrong…

Bottle - Butterscotch, grains and some nail polish. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Lots of candy sweetness and weak caramel. A mess.

650mL bottle, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is a trainwreck, bringing out loads of skunky vegetal notes. Flavour follows through, with lots of boiled vegetables, Belgian yeast and skunky notes. So much going wrong here. A trainwreck. These guys have no clue what they're doing releasing something like this.

On tap at Black Kettle, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out pretty dank dry hopping, with a herbaceous quality and Belgian yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with floral dry hopping more so, along with Belgian yeast. Inauthentic, but pleasant and clean. Well-constructed but underwhelming.

On tap at Black Kettle, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal malts and grassy notes. Flavour is along the lines, with dry cereal malts and biscuity notes. Dry and clean, but pretty boring. Meh.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with dark tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of roasted barley/malts and creamy coffee. Flavors of watery creamy coffee, light chocolate and roasted malts. Simple, nice enough and easy to drink but not very notable.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Black color with beige nitro head. Mild aroma of chocolate, a bit creamy. Smooth mouthfeel, undercarbonated, with some chocolate flavor in the front, low bitterness, and a bit metallic in the final.
Not bad, but timid.

Pours with a huge and heavy creamy white head and nice foggy copper body with heavy carbonation. Aroma of fresh baked lemon bread, malt hints, candy notes. Flavour is a bright affair of lemon and malty sweetness, hints of vague hops on the back end, with a medium finish. Highly drinkable, very well done, good news that another microbrewery can do something different in a crowded market.
