Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy pale blond color with compact head. Delicate malt aroma. Lean mouthfeel, a bit too dry, and the strong bitterness doesn’t help; it has some light crisp malt flavor and some wheat, with a spicy profile.
More bitter than a classic Belgian. Nice.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color with compact head. Very nice hoppy aroma; although Ella was used, a grassy experience comes through. Dry mouthfeel, little malt flavor, some straws, and strong bitterness, with a light grassy touch.
More bitter than a classic Kölsch; a very good first time for the new brewers.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy red-amber color with compact head. The aroma is bot fruity and spicy, fresh, with a citrus touch, and tea. Smooth and soft mouthfeel; mellow caramel flavor, with a strong spicy component, coriander, and also quite some fruitiness, peach and sweet oranges; strong bitterness.
Interesting. As interesting is to see the evolution of Big River.

On tap at Big River, pours a dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of toasted malt upfront and a very subtle hop profile. Flavour isn't like a traditional black IPA, with a very sweet caramel malt and lightly roasted malt backing, with a very weak hop profile. Not too bad, but leaves a lot to be desired. Weak but drinkable black IPA.

On tap at Big River, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet English malt, vanilla beans and cereal malt. Flavour is bizarre, with vanilla beans, honey, and English malt. Finishes fairly sweet and malty. Decent "stout".
