Golden-brown. The aroma has a lot of toasty bread character. The palate is the same...bready and with a slight brown sugar note. Tasty bock.

Pale and hazy. The aroma is a bit yeasty, bit peachy, bit lacto. Similar on the palate, the peach being rather subtle until the finish, when it makes more of an impression. Nice.

Hazy dull amber but a nice head. Earthy, slightly piney nose, with a biscuity, somewhat chewy character. Like "India pale lager" sort of character.

Hazy light tan. The aroma has a nice pear-papaya (galaxy?) nose. Moderate bitterness. Fruity lychee-pear, papaya character. A nice, flavourful, balanced pale.

Draught at the brewpub
Black color, brownish creamy head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, a touch of coffee, and light spiciness, on a smooth and dry body. Dark bread too. A lot of elements, some complexity.
Excellent.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy red amber color. Hoppy and quite fruity; but the flavor is too yeasty; a bit lemony and astringent because of the Brett.
As often happens with Brett IPAs, it’s too rough.

Draught at the brewpub
Mahogany color, dark, with small to no head. Moderate caramel aroma and flavor, light residual sweetness, some roasted nuts.
Not a bad beer, hardly a Doppelbock though.

5.5
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy dark amber color with creamy head. Very mild fruity aroma. Dry mouthfeel; traces of glue, chemicals, phenol; a bit tart and astringent; can’t find the peach. Regular bitterness, not from the hops but from the chemicals.
Weird. Beautiful but not tasty.

I had quite a few pints of this beer over the weeks, and decided that this bold, perfect India Pale Lager deserves higher respect. 8-4-7-5-16=40

2015-03-20, draught at the brewpub, as S.M.A.S.H. Mouth Lager, 7-4-7-5-15=
Hazy golden color, compact head. Fruity aroma, hoppy, fresh. Very nice malt profile, a bit biscuity; smooth, dry; very strong bitterness, resiny hops, fruity (peach and mango).

2015-03-11, draught at the brewpub, as Lawgrrr, 6-4-7-3-13=33
Cloudy golden color, small compact head. The aroma is mildly fruity. The fruity character, although mild, is even more evident in the flavor; very good malt flavor; it’s a bit too much bitter, in the final almost chicory; if they can tune the extra bitterness it would be an amazing beer.
Very interesting.
