Description
Gigantic Brewing Company is an independent, crafty brewery located in the Southeast quadrant of the Peoples Republic of Portland. Brewer/Owners Ben Love and Van Havig are veterans of the Oregon brewing community.

At Gigantic we only do two things: make the best damn IPA in Portland, Oregon and produce seasonal, exciting, flavorful beers, most of which will be brewed only once. Our goal is simultaneously to create new interpretations of classic styles and to ignore those same style guidelines completely and brew whatever our creative natures produce.

Tap at Borefts 2019: Clear yellow colored brew with an dry bitter taste, hints of grapefruit, some faint chocolate but didn't get that kveik. Nevertheless the beer is great.

Bottle: Poured a deep dark brown color ale with a medium dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some nice rum notes and light vanilla notes. Taste is also a good mix of caramelized malt notes with some nice rum notes with not much residual sugar notes with some vanilla notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and some warming alcohol notes. Interesting barleywine with nice barrel aging rum notes.

Taste is also a good mix of caramelized malt notes with some strong dry rye notes with not much residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and strong warming alcohol notes. Interesting barleywine with too much barrel rye notes.

Much smoother than rye version, this is nice silky caramel malt with light vanilla, over alcohol warmth
