Description

Bought from Beers of Europe, drank at home. Not to my taste, wouldn't have another.

Clear golden colour, minimal creamy white head; aroma of honey, dried apricot, grainy, some fruity and Belgian yeasty notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with a good amount of hoppy bitterness; halway between a Belgian blonde and a tripel. Good one.

Tasting it with Raoul, yesterday, at the Bruxelles café, Lausanne, goo and right amber beer, brewed on the Belgian way, light note of malt, light body, touch of toffee, not sweet, classical note of bitterness, refreshing after a day of in formation.

330ml bottle in Eecke, shared with Eric who was born in Plugstreet across the road from where this was brewed! Pours a misty blonde, good pure white head. Pleasant blonde, not especially sweet or full bodied. Standard Belgian fayre.

On tap at TripelB, Worcester on 11th April 2025. Deep reddish brown with a red tinged foam and scant lacing. Sour cherry aroma with spicy maltiness in aroma. Intense cherry fruits in-mouth, and a finish of tangy berry fruits on a sweet malt. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

25cl draught @ Au Grand Estaminet du Mont des Cats, towards the end of a 57 mile MTB ride. Clear golden appearance with loose white foam atop. Crisp, gently sweet pilsner with a brisk bitterness. Ok quencher, if a little light and thin overall.
