Big, sticky, and malty. Loads of caramel, brown sugar, and some light roasted nuts. Full mouth feel, soft carb. Slightly boozy finish, light roast, light fruit, and lots of sticky, chewy malts.

Volo Cask Days 2009. Strong aroma of alcohol, and cognac sweetness. Flavor was more or the same. Lots of sweet malts, and some sweet boozey notes with touches of cherry in the finish.

I think i had a dry hopped version of this at the C’est what? spring beerfest in 2006. There was a reall ynice nose of english hops, its was actually kinda skunky it was so hoppy. I seem to recall it being served at room temperature, and it was abubble frothy head, so i’m guessing it was on cask. Nice beer, great english pale ale. well made.

This light poured a deep red colour with a creamy, fizzy, light tan head. Decent lacing. Scents include maple, coffee, tin and cream. First swig was disappointingly thin. Great weak flavours of maple, coffee and light cocoa. Finish is a maple latte with caramel and maple lingering forever. Not sure why they’d take this delicious beer and make it light!

Pours a hazy golden-beige colour with a bubbly white cap and some foamy streaks. Citrus juice nose with oranges, some peels and mild grapefruit notes. The taste is juicy with the citrus again, decent bitterness and mild dryness in the finish. With the lower alcohol content, easy to drink, still has bite, but not too overpowering. Well done !

Can that pours a clean copper colour with a light-beige head, frothy, good stay and creamy lacing streaks. Apples and nutty malts are most of the aromas. Hints of chocolate and mild cherries. These fruits show a little more in the taste with some hops that balances the finish. Nothing too extreme. For those who are not as big of a fan of fruity beers. Well-hidden cherry notes, and an easy porter.
