Easy to drink, tastes slightly of nuts, redish/brownish, minimal head with white foam, medium sweetness and bitterness, long and round finish. Clearly the favorite of my wife and I from Svaneke bryghus.

brew from 2007: distinct rye aroma and flavour I haven’t noticed in neither 2005 nor 2006 brews which both had a more dominant caramel and roasted aroma and flavour, but not rye.

Bottled. (BB 060412) Clear, brown with reddish notes, and a medium beige head. Aroma of beef-stock, pines, roastiness and hints of alcohol. Flavor is malty, sweet, caramelly and lightly roasted. Medium body and a sweet and bitter finish. Sweet Mary sure was sweet. (060210)

A slightly hazy amber beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is typically for Svanke, sweet with notes of straw and fruity esters - reminding me of a barn yard. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, straw, fruity esters, and citrus, but also hints of the alcohol, and a slightly burnt end. The mouthfeel is very smooth, just like the whole range of Svaneke beers.

Cloudy copper colour with thin white head. Nice yeast hop aroma. Nice lemon fruit. A certain meatyness too. I quite like this. Lemon is subtle but present. Good balance and depth of flavour.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is very sweet malty with vegetably hints. Flavour is sweet malty with some caramellish hints. Kind of boring compared to many of the others this evening.

Bottled (BB 07/2006)
Hazy red color, good creamy tan head. Light metallic and chocolaty aroma. Medium-bodied, but palate is quite watery. Malty, a bit sweet, some roasty notes in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Some bitterness in the aftertaste mixed with hints of sugar. Ok brew but quite simple.

An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is slightly acidic combined with notes of straw, while the flavor is very sweet with light notes of ascorbin acid, leading to a dry end with notes of straw.
