Can shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2026. Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized beige to light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, light red and dark fruit notes coming through, so pretty well brewed I'd say. I like it.

16 oz can purchased as a single at The Wine Thief & Ale Jail in Crystal, Minnesota. The pour is an opaque black brown with a ½ inch khaki head that falls with a sheet of lace. The aroma is roast, a bit of blackberry sweetness, cane sugar, a whisper of soy and more char roast. The taste is sweet blackberry fruit, toffee malt, cane sugar, a touch of fruit tartness and finishes with soft roast. The palate is medium to heavier boded, soft natural carbonation and the roast and blackberry sweet to the finish. As with others, nice integration of flavors mask the high ABV well.

Dark brown. The aroma actually has a bit of green pepper from the coffee, and the roast coffee itself. Soft body, a bit of chocolate, light vanilla. Not bad, maybe a bit more all over the place in terms of the elements.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has earthy coffee, vanilla, butterscotch, and some burnt sugars. Flavour has plenty of earthy coffee, with the other adjuncts rather muddled and subdued—maybe some vanilla. A bit lacking in cohesion for a Speedway. Good, but disappointing given the standard of the base.

473mL can. Pours black with a tan head. Earthy roast with notes of coffee and nuts on the nose. Flavour has loads of bitter cacao, good roasty base, some dusty toasted nuts. Nicely executed, but not getting too much on the pecan front.
