Bottle @ Herøya. Slightly unclear golden body under a huge, foamy white head. Aroma has yeast, fresh grass, green apple, herbs and green hops. Taste has sweet pale malt, some white sugar, green apple, herbs and unripe citric fruits. Medium bitterness. Balanced body and some more bitterness in aftertaste. Drinkable and quite refreshing, still a totally different beer than the regular Duvel as I prefer. It’s something about Belgium beers, they seems to make some stiles about perfect but IPA seems to be a missing link.

Kolor słomkowy, żółty, klarowny. Piana biała, zbudowana z drobnych pęcherzyków, jest wysoka i bardzo trwała. Zalega na powierzchni szklanki.
Aromat generalnie słodowy, ziemisty. Skojarzenie z kurzem w silosie zbożowym jest jak najbardziej na miejscu.
W smaku kwaskowe, słodowe, z nieco goryczkowym finiszem.
Wysycenie średnie w górę. Ciało niskie. Tekstura gładka. Posmak kwaskowy, średnio długi.

Bottle @ Herøya. Clear golden body under a nice, big frothy white head. Delicate aroma of grain and herbs with hint of yeast. Taste is sweet malt, herbs and some kind of generic fruitiness. Amazingly well-balanced body and dangerous well-hidden alcohol. This is the kind of beer that easily could be taken for plain and boring if not paying attention, maybe just be curs it’s so balanced that you need some effort to figure out its complexity It’s a classic I have enjoyed regular for decades and just forgot to rate and still find difficult to describe.

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a clear amber with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a bit of rum and a touch of dates underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and Belgian yeast with a bit of rum notes coming through.

Barwa złota, mętne. Piana bardzo obfita, oblepia szkło niczym płyn do naczyń. W aromacie banany, goździki. W smaku goździki, goryczka długo zalega i jest średnio przyjemna przez alkohol, który nie jest najlepiej ukryty. Ja wiem, że to klasyka i w ogóle ale piłem to piwo jakieś 20 lat temu i w porównaniu z tym co było ówcześnie na polskim to była przepaść, a teraz to jest tak średnio.
