Tap. Yeasty, estery nose, lemon and orange, biscuits. Fruity, tart flavor, rather sweet. Decent real-ale like body, almost anyway. Could use more defined hopping, both for flavor and bitterness.

Tap. Very fruity, estery nose. Huge peaches and oranges. Big yeast character. Nicely bitter flavor, sweet and fruity but balances. Soft body from the natural re-fermentation in the keg. Nice beer. Best of their three today.

On tap at Kyoto’s Beer Fest 2015. Songbird Golden Bitter 4.5% A slightly opaque gold with a grainy sweet nose. Medium bodied with a round mouthfeel. The taste is sweet grains and a touch ashey. Grainy sweet boring and slightly off, weakest of the fest for me.

On tap at Kyoto Beer Fest 2015. Songbird Motueka Pale Ale 5.2% a cloudy gold pour at the Kyoto beer fest 2015. The nose is a mild fruitiness. Med-full bodied with a semi-dry finish. The taste is sweet at first giving you a hoppy fruit character, then an earthy somewhat artificial sweetness on a dry chalky finish. OK.
