Bottle shared at Au Revoir Tokyo. Thanks Davido! Lovely peat-forward nose with some moss and chocolate. Medium body with some coffee and roasted malt, more peat and more moss. Finish is dry and well-balanced. Very enjoyable with the peat being nicely done and not over-the-top. --- Beer merged from original tick of Peaty Oyster Stout on 18 Oct 2016 at 10:36 - Score: 7. Bottle shared. Thanks TimE! Lots of Belgian yeast on the nose, fruit esters and bit of cardamom. Light citrus notes on the palate with more spice. Clean and crisp on the palate, but maybe a little too much spice. Still a fun beer and at 4% abv it really punches up a class.

Finish is warming from the ginger and feels boozy for the 5 percent. A ginger bomb for sure. --- Beer merged from original tick of Natsumikan to Shoga on 17 Jun 2016 at 23:55 - Score: 6
