Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is grassy, hoppy, grapefruit, dank pines. Taste is dank pines, quite a strong residual sweetness, sticky, bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel. Very nice!

Pint on tap at Pomeroys, Christchurch. Golden bronze beer, thin white film on top. Subdued aroma of malt and fruity hops. Light carbonation. Laces well. Easy-drinking, chalky lemon finish. Comforting pleasant pint.

330ml bottle. Aroma is all caramel with a little biscuit. Taste is some caramel up front, leading into some fruit (maybe pear). Pleasant but not too exciting.

On tap at Brewers Cooperative. Aroma is sweet peach, and a sharp bitterness almost reminiscent of capsicum (in a good way). Taste is also good, with some more sweet peach, a little perfume and a nice lingering bitterness.

Bottled@Kitty’s. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some apricot and quite grassy notes with some sweet malts. Flavour is fruity, some toffeeish, floral, grassy and mild wooden notes. Past it’s BBE date, and having some elements of hops gone a bit off, but yet very nicely balanced, and I actually liked it quite a bunch when the hops weren’t that aggressive.

Growler. Clear copper with a beige head. Aroma of Seville oranges, light toffee. Very slightly bready, but very clean and mainly tasting of caramel, boiled orange and candied orange peel. Maybe there’s a hint of chocolate. Pleasant but awfully simple and not very engaging for something that’s nearly 7%.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark amber color, hazy, with small head. The aroma is mild, lightly fruity, the flavor is much more robust, rich malt flavor, caramel, some toffee.
Excellent.
