Can, bb 2/21. Bright amber with a white had that's soon a coat. Aroma more coiled than vibrant with citrus blossoms and light pine notes along with subtle tropical fruit and breadcrust. 8- Just medium bodied, carbonation is moderate. An intense burst of kumquat and resin upfront with a little sweetness emerging after a moment before a long medium-high bitter end. Magisterial.

Tall bottle from Countdown outside Christchurch airport drank on a walk in Queenstown. Dank hops with brassy malts, very resinous, in a classic west coast/NZ style (vs more hazy juicy). Light palate. Solid bitterness. Good example of this style.

500ml bottle from Countdown outside Christchurch airport at hotel in Queenstown. Clear orange-golden pour with sudsy white head. Aroma is zesty grapefruit hops with crisp biscuit malt. Taste is bracing resin bitterness with some grapefruit and pilsner-y malt. Classic west coast DIPA style, very pine and grapefruit. A bit like Pliny. Very good.

Can. Almost opaque orange with a white head that never quite disappears. Booming fruity aroma with oranges, lime, mango, peach. Fairly light bodied. Pretty clean for this sort of thing. Fruity from start to finish with moderately sweet peach, orange and mango gradually giving way and drying out towards a modestly bitter end. There's nothing else to it really but what it is is sufficiently good.

Can. Bright golden amber with a loose inch of white head. 3+ Aroma of crystallized peach and guava, mandarin, some breadcrust, spices. 7+ Just medium bodied, carbonation just on the low side of moderate. Sweet with plainish malt at first, then the hops come bursting through. The peach and citrus are there but sharper than suggested by the aroma. There's also - towards the bitter finish - an unusual brief spice punch (perhaps cumin as DylansDad suggests plus roasted coriander seed). Good.
