From a 440ml can on 24/10/2020 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a super clear medium golden with a small head. Has a bright, pleasant pine resin hope aroma. Has a light caramel and biscuit mal backbone, followed by medium sweet citrus and a medium pine and resin bitterness. The mouthfeel is slightly oily, the carbonation moderate. A solid WC IPA, if not by a huge hop monster.

Tall can from Brewcraft at home. Golden clear pour with white fine head. Aroma is powerful mango pineapple pine resin candy with some light cereal malt. Really nice. Taste is much more restrained. Definitely more pine resin than fruit but it’s lighter overall - not as enveloping as the aroma. Cereal malt and some lingering bitterness. Palate is medium. Not bad for sure.

Can. Very bright amber with a slowly fading inch of white head. Punchy aroma of grapefruit, pine, some green & red berries, a very little breadcrust. But that very little breadcrust is enough to provide a firm and somewhat sweet platform for the fruit and resin before a drying and fairly bitter finish. Very good.

Can. Black aka very dark red with a beige head that fades to a cm fairly quickly. Aroma of mocha, chicory, earth, gentle roast. Roasty fllavoures are more prominent than guessed for the aroma. It's getting towards thin and the pretty modest bitterness is still enough to accentuate that. But the balance is appropriate for something you'd drink 5 of over 3 hours - and that I guess is the idea.

Clear, light amber and copper coloured body with a very thin, off-white head. Tons of small bubbles rising from the bottom are noticeable as well. Aroma of very bright hops, malt, caramel and some subdued nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour throughout with a good malty and balanced kick that shows through as well and some mild sugars come out. Aftertaste is clean and bitter from the hops, of course, with a very nice kick in flavour that ends the entire beer nicely. Overall, a very nice beer that really shows off New Zealand's quality beer producers! This one was great for me to try! I sampled this 500 mL bottle, purchased at the New World Grocery [store] in Auckland, New Zealand on 22-August-2009, sampled later that same day on 22-August-2009, during one of the stops on my honeymoon, some eleven years ago! I found this paper rating in my paperwork for my honeymoon, and as I was throwing away excess items, I found this and realized that I never rated this, nor have had it in the eleven intervening years. Cheers to my wife and I, still happily married, and while we haven't visited New Zealand in those past eleven years, we do have three kids now.

From a 330ml can on 16/5/2020. Pours an ultra clear medium golden with a small head. The nose is dominated by resiny, piney hops against the light fruit background. Taste wise, there's some biscuit and caramel on the malt side, with blueberry, pineapple and lemon following. The hops are resinous, herbal and tangy, finishing off a quite singular experience. The mouthfeel is a touch oily, the carbonation average. A really solid, enjoyable and interesting IPA.
