The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a rich, malty, sweet toffee, biscuit, light herbal, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Pours deep reddish amber with a large lasting head.Nose shows floral, herbal, pine and resinous hops almost covered by rich smokey malt. Best of both worlds!Flavours include smokey malt along with some caramel sweetness and a bit of pine. Some floral hops too. Good balance

Can. Startlingly clear amber with an inch of near white head. Aroma of pine and red berries, biscuit. Full bodied. Sweet and biscuity but clean, with welling pine flavours - intense but not raucous - before a long bitter finish. Good but a bit worthy.

Caramel malt, pine, and grapefruit aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet orange, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel and pine flavor. Nice body.

Can. Clear orangish amber with a white head. Mandarin zest spicy aroma with gentle stone and tropical fruit, some biscuit. Easygoing with sweetish biscuity malt and gentle fruit until a drying moderately bitter and spicy finish. Some more exotic Kiwi hop aromatics - grape, feijoa - in the aftertaste. Not as punchy as many Epic beers but the finish is compelling.

Never really cared for Hop Zombie - perhaps it never got here fresh enough. Can. Just cloudy gold with a loosish white head. Aroma of Meyer lemon with some floral and herbal touches, soft crackery malt, glacé pineapple and pawpaw. Light bodied. Less defined support for the hops than usual from Epic with citrus and candied tropical fruit before a bitter finish that nags a little. Pretty good but to my surprise I liked the hazy version better.

Can. Very cloudy yellowish orange with a loose white head. Aroma of citrus rind - grapefruit, orange, Meyer lemon - crackers. Light, slightly chalky body. Fruity but dry with a fairly bitter finish.

Can. Very clear golden amber with an inch or so of white head that lasts a while and laces nicely. Citrus and citrus-accented spice aroma with light biscuit. Taste is mandarin-laden but fairly dry with spices and some resin towards a fairly bitter finish. Going a bit austere works really well with this hop. I can see from the can that it also has some Citra which presumably adds to the bitter punch at the end too. Excellent.
